A facial...but for your scalp

Posted by Jennifer Fresa on

I'm not sure if it's the season, peri- menopause or something else but my scalp has been feeling a little "meh" lately.  Just sorta dry, itchy and weighed down.  I decided to concoct a little treatment and I love it so much I had to share it with you.

Think of it as a facial.....but for your scalp.

You gently exfoliate away dead skin, product build up, excess oil, which books circulation, clears clogged hair follicles, and makes way for stronger, shinier hair.  Plus is feels amazing-- like a mini spa treatment at home.

Here's the recipe:

1/2 cup of organic sugar

1/2 cup of Jojoba Oil

7 drops of Grapefruit or Orange oil

4 drops of Frankincense oil

7 drops of Lavender oil

3 drops of Rosemary oil

If you need quality, affordable EO's try this brand

Mix the jojoba oil and essential oils together first, then stir in the sugar.  Spoon into a clean 4 oz jar (perfect way to reuse an old jar from one of your skincare products).

How to use it:

On damp hair, massage a small scoop into your scalp with circular movements.  Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, then shampoo and condition as usual.  Try this 1-2 x per week or as needed.

Trust me, your hair (and mind) will feel lighter, fresher, bouncier and smell amazing!

Xo, Jennie
