A Year in Beauty. Beauty Trends 2012 12/28

{Beauty Trends 2012}
No doubt about it- the beauty industry kept people talking in 2012. Chanel’s ad campaign with Brad Pitt inspired a frenzy of spoofs on TV and social media and certainly got people buzzing. Lady Gaga launched her fragrance, Fame, the first-ever black eau de parfum.  She never disappoints!  In this controversial ad, Mama-Monster poses naked with teeny, tiny men super-imposed all over her body.  Then, there were the new product launches. Suddenly, every cosmetic company created their version of a BB cream (In case you are still wondering, it stands for Beauty Balm- a do-it-all formula that originated in Asia).  My favorite being Stila, Stay All Day, 10-in-1, HD, Beauty Balm.  Top that!  In the fall, makeup artist, Pat McGrath sent her models down the runway wearing deep burgundy lips. Thus, the Oxblood trend was born.  In hair, we saw celebs with dip-died or ombre locks.  Not a favorite look of mine, although I do think Khloe Kardashian wore it well.  The dominating beauty trend of 2012 came in the explosion of nail art.  From caviar encrusted and chevron patterned nails to moon-mani’s, this trend may stick around a while longer. What were your favorite beauty trends in 2012? Xo, Jennie.

It Penetrates the hair absorbing dirt and hair products when sprayed on. When brushed out, Klorane Oat Extract Dry Shampoo takes all impurities with it, and you are left with soft, clean hair.” Stay warm beauties and check our facebook page for updates to see when we will re-open.
